4am is not the time to get all fancy.

I decided to finish up my version of V8821 to wear tomorrow because we're having a heat wave. I put the front together over the weekend and finished the back "tonight". I decided to serge all my seams and tada serged a big a$$ hole in it. #epicfail. Luckily I have more fabric so I'll re-cut and finish tomorrow. Now off to find something ELSE to wear to work tomorrow.

  1. Gaaaah! UUUgh. At least you have extra fabric. Fingers crossed for you that the second time is the charm.

  3. OMG!!! A few of us have sworn off sewing after a certain because of those kinds of mishaps! You tend to get "cross-eyed" after a few "wee morning" hours! Good Luck on it and can't wait to see the completed project...the fabric is sweet!

  5. I've done that before as a beginner sewer and forgot that I could disengage my knife. Please believe I stitched that hole right on up and proudly wore my maxi dress! LOL!
